Do Big Blogs Remember What It's Like Being a Lil Blog??

Being a blogger is not exactly the easiest thing in the world. There are thousands of other blogs doing the very same thing as you, who take interest in many of your same hobbies. So what's the difference? Some blogs have hundreds or thousands of followers and some blogs simply don't. I call these bloggers Newbies or the little people, like mwah. It's hard to get your name out there as a blogger and ADs, honestly, do not cut it. I've advertised on multiple blogs, two of which have significant followers, yet I do not get many hits off the ad space. Maybe in a month I can get 5-10 hits from that ad, which for a blogger trying to grow a blog, is just not enough. Call me crazy, but ADS DON'T WORK. Which is why I've joined a group called company discourages bloggers from taking payment in exchange for endorsements. I agree wholeheartedly. I understand if you wanna get paid, but I simply do not agree with ads on blogs, because I know they do not work well. For bloggers who do accept money for do what you do. No judgement for you. As for me...I believe ad space should be free and geared toward blogs you enjoy reading or choose to support. Furthermore, a blog can get way more hits when mentioned in a post.

For example, this DIY on bleaching and dyeing jeans is friggin' awesome! I'm in the process of doing it myself. Go check out this awesome lady's cute and family friendly blog!

It's that simple. All bloggers do is mention something awesome in a post with a link to it, then people want to know about it. If you have something great on your blog, I'm probably gonna mention it, because I LIKE IT. Not because I have to because you paid for ad space on my blog.

So here it is. I'm a not-gonna-make-you-pay-for-ads blog. My ad space is free. And you DON'T. HAVE. TO. PAY. ME. TO. ADVERTISE. ON. MY. BLOG. If I like your blog, then my thoughts and words will go with you.

As a big time blogger, there are many ways to get names out there and help support fellow bloggers. Take a look at Shane Prather @ Whispering Sweet Nothings. Her Coast to Coast project, helps put bloggers on the map in order for bloggers to connect with other bloggers in the same region. AWESOME idea!!! It's a great and FREE way for bloggers to connect. I've had people find me on Coast to Coast and become followers. Honestly, Shane is brilliant. You should check her out.

Furthermore, do big blogs remember what it's like to be a little blogger? Do they remember where they came from and how they got to where they were at? There could probably stand to be a little more humility and grace on us youngster bloggers looking to get our name out there in the ever growing blogosphere.

Just to make sure you understand, I don't agree with taking money for ads. I do, on the other hand, totally agree with charging for services, such as blog design, custom creations, and other things that take time and effort to create for somebody. That stuff is not easy. I've created many blogs for others myself and it's totally time consuming. That kind of work should be paid for.
So I take my stance and have added this button to my sidebar:

If you feel the same way, go to and choose a button.
