Southeastern Virginia | SNOW

A great thing happened today. It  SNOWED again. I feel like this is extremely abnormal here on the extreme southeastern part of Virginia. I say this even though I've only been in VA a little more than a year and can't attest to the weather patterns. The weather here is similar to the weather in my hometown back in Georgia, therefore I make the connections, and it simply is not normal to see snow in these parts.
As the white flakes picked up, my students were getting ready for recess. Just then the principal came over the intercom telling teachers to refrain from taking students outside. They were so upset, so I opened a few windows and let pairs of students stretch their arms out to catch the snow. They were in awe.
